Focus > Business Alignment

The organizations striking power is highly important. "How do we stay ahead of competitors and keep or improve market share?"  Striking power depends on many factors. To make the right choices correct information about these factors must be available. When choices are made, it is necessary to take steps in order to reach goals in the amount of time set.

In case of broad and deep scope of organisational change a structural approach is highly recommended. Business alignment is the associated term. EMS considers this as important.

Most attention is focused on translating top-down decisions to adjustments in the organization through program- and project management. To increase striking power structure is inevitable. When we compare this with our operational activities we structure everything (processes etc.) to reach our targeted profit margin. We can conclude that business alignment needs organization (development) on every level.

  • On operational level by managing project resources.
  • To line management in the development and structuring change activities
  • In relation to implementing change through organizing change with, for instance, a program management office and templates.

Core of efficient business alignment is, according to EMS, focus on the organization of business alignment. The main operational activities and output of this change organization is implementing the right organizational changes in an efficient and effective manner.
